About
Melbourne has many guided walking tours but the city’s best, most interesting suburb hasn’t … until now.

Josh
Your Local Guide
Your local guide is Josh, a Fitzroy local who has lived in the suburb for almost two decades.
Josh has worked in bars all over Fitzroy, has two kids at school in Fitzroy, is the secretary for the Fitzroy Historical Society, and has a deep love and respect for the history, people and stories of Fitzroy. When he is not running walking tours, Josh works in an NGO supporting communities to prepare and respond to humanitarian crises. Josh has lived and worked in many countries around the world, including a stint building and running the highest (altitude) wine bar in the world in La Paz, Bolivia.

Kathryn
Your Local Guide
Your Local guide Kathryn has been frequenting the bars and cafes of wonderful fitzroy for two decades.
Kathryn has lived in seven different rentals in Fitzroy, also met her partner at the Napier pub in Fitzroy (Josh) and hates leaving Fitzroy. For the last decade Kathryn has worked in social justice and Aboriginal community controlled organisations and also had a stint running a wine bar (and drinking most of the profits) in Bolivia.
Whether you are a first time visitor or a Melbournite, walk with us and discover the richness of Fitzroy, Melbourne’s first suburb and suburb of firsts
